The gorgeous Fairlawns Hotel in Sandton was the perfect venue for Your Pregnancy’s first reader breakfast. And considering the great success of the morning and the overwhelming response from you, our reader, more of these events are sure to follow.
Over a leisurely breakfast we listened to our expert editor Tina Otte talk us through the importance of pre-birth bonding. It was fascinating, and we all walked away a little more determined to talk to our bellies as much as we can.
She also spoke about fear in labour – how we can and should control it – to decrease pain during birth. We were also privileged to have International Lactation Consultant Linda Britz with us to talk about the importance of breastfeeding and she gave us invaluable information to set us on the right path for successful, exclusive breastfeeding.
Walking away with goodie bags bulging with stuff for mom and baby, and loads of food for thought, a great morning was had by all. Please keep your eyes peeled for details of our next get-together!
